About Us

Over the years, Doggy Day Care has grown from strength to strength, and I’ve been fortunate to build a fantastic, trusted team along the way. Alisha joined in 2015 and Amanda in 2017, alongside the invaluable support of my mum, who has been helping me right from the very start. Together, we now care for over 150 registered dogs, offering regular and ad-hoc walking services Monday to Friday, rain or shine.

Nutrition has always been an important part of my approach to dog care. After feeding Gucci on CSJ dog food for many years, I became a CSJ stockist in 2015, allowing me to supply the same high-quality nutrition to my customers. CSJ uses natural, top-quality ingredients with a wide range of foods tailored to dogs of all ages, needs, and budgets. CSJ is trusted by many top handlers across canine sports including agility, flyball, obedience, show dogs, working dogs, and canicross, which reflects the quality and effectiveness of their products.

My long-term dream was always to open a Doggy Day Club—a secure, purpose-built space where puppies and dogs could socialise, play, and thrive without the risks of escape or unplanned encounters. In February 2021, that dream became a reality when I picked up the keys to a 5,500 sq ft unit at Unit 3, Marie’s Way, Silverdale. After months of hard work and long hours, we were granted our licence by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, and Doggy Day Club officially opened in March 2021.

Every dog joining us completes an induction to ensure they are happy, comfortable, and suited to the day club environment. As the business has grown, we’ve introduced multiple secure play areas, allowing dogs to be grouped based on their age, size, and physical ability, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
We are licensed to care for up to 40 dogs, maintaining a minimum ratio of one staff member per ten dogs, with all staff holding at least a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care. Our focus is always on providing the highest standard of care in a safe, structured, and enriching environment.

6 months after opening the day club, came Doggy Day Spa. We designed the groom room for an enjoyable experience, relaxed, calm and refreshed. Offering full grooms, bath and de-sheds and puppy grooms to start their grooming journey.
We then started hosting Puppy parties and specific breed plays and expanded to our training classes, securing Royal Kennel Club status in December 2024. Hosting the Good Citizen courses from Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver, Gold, up to competition training.
